SLOW LIVING

Why Slow Living resonates with all areas of C+C from coaching to the space you create at home.

What is Slow Living?

Living consciously, having purpose, knowing your values and having a mindful approach to everyday life. Slow Living is all about creating a more meaningful life.

Slow Living isn’t about crawling along, it is about going at the right pace for you. I posted on my Insta about balance this week, and to achieve harmony you have to assess what’s important to you, but most importantly, you have to make the necessary changes. If you are living a slow lifestyle, you may need to make changes and make time to do the things which are important to you.

Why is Clove+Clay a Slow Living brand?

I started Clove+Clay because I wanted to create a space that not only focused on ways to care for our physical and spiritual selves, but how we can design our homes in a way which positively impacts our well-being. All the elements that make up Slow Living match up with the values of Clove+Clay.

When we are designing our homes, we choose items consciously and we only have things we love in our space. We think about our planet and live sustainably, simply and ethically.

When we are looking after our physical and spiritual selves, we know our values, purpose and create a meaningful life. This is where coaching comes in…

How does Slow Living resonate with me as a coach?

So, when we look back at the core structure of Slow Living, we have knowing our values and having purpose. As a coach these are two statements which I explore with so many of my clients. Working out what we believe, why we believe it and if it’s useful to us. Knowing what our core values are, and how they interact in our daily lives can be incredibly enlightening.

Finally, having a true awareness of what we’ve come here to do, what our significance is, and ultimately understanding what our purpose is, means that we will be able to live the most meaningful life possible.

In case you hadn’t guessed already, I am a bit of a fan of Slow Living and I hope that after reading this, you will be too!
